I can't remember what his company did? but I think it was engineering for the mining industry.
it looks like he has done a CB72 based 500 4 as well. With DOHC
For Scott here is a lot of information and pictures of all the models and their names

Fair enough, you'll save effort if you use valves, cams etc from a CBR250 of course. Cast up a finned copy of the watercooled layout with stud spacings to suit the CB350 cases.
Looking at the cases, you could always cut and shut/weld the top face to lean the barrels forward. They're not sophisticated at all - and you could do a better/simpler cam chain tensioner too....
This one is 455 cos there are a lot of period o/s cast pistons appearing on ebay. Bigger than that, I'd look hard at the rods...and the liners (400 barrel....) are getting thin too. YowLing machined the cases for the bigger barrel.
More edit - if you really want a 500, start with a 500. There are more gearbox options available. The 400 6 speed don't go in the 350 cases...

Of course it is mate. Those things have cast iron cylinder heads with match and candle ignitions
Just got around to looking at the jerry Koistra pics husa posted. tyrewarmers for pre 63 ? Hmmm.
But I do like the hot air guns to prewarm the motors. If i ever do greymouth again, i'll remember that. Probably have them stuffed up the riders leathers though...
The four is obviously Jerry's 350 rep finished. last pic i saw was about 18months ago, part done.
