    David Neal VMCC Round 2

    Qualifying

Well wasn't good right from the very start. We got about 10m onto the track before Aaron in front of me lost the front end of his Kawasaki. And before even being able to set a lap time i decided to try out some Casey Stoner drifting in the wet and lost the back end round Higgins LOL causing some minor but fixable damage to the bike. So which meant I had to start right from the back of the grid, even behind Mihi which I'm sure she was proud of. And put me at least 20m behind streetstock leader Rogan Chandler.
So Qualifying ended very quickly for me in which i was definitely not proud of.

    Race 1

Umm yeah. It was wet and did not help my confidence of pushing hard to get to the front. After a good start as usual i was up into about 7th place from a 14th place grid position, and second place in streetstock. After almost losing the back end round almost every corner I knew that due to my body position I was putting to much weight on the back end. After gaining more confidence in my riding position and grip in the wet i caught up to the two prolites in front of me. After getting up right behind them into the hairpin i tried out braking Aaron and ended up going down one two many gears and had the rear end start fishtailing on me, this gave me a real bad run onto the straight and lost the two positions I had just gained. By the end i was still behind the prolites but 2nd in the streetstocks, all in all i was just happy to finish the race without coming off again. My best lap was a 1:36.560 which is a new PB in the wet for me but still easily beaten

    Race 2

Finally some dry weather came about and with it maybe a chance to take a win. After another good start i was up into 6th place and only had Aaron Hassan in front of me to get to Rogan. After a lap Aaron had passed Rogan and got close to Rogan until they brought the Red flag out causing the race to be stopped, which really annoyed me because of how well i had done.
After the restart i only managed 7th place from the start and was switching places with a prolite which kept slowing me down throughout the entire race and allowed Rogan to get a big gap on me.
This lead to another second place finish in the streetstocks. and only a 1:32 best lap which was well off what i was capable of.

    Race 3

After more terrible weather the race was again wet. After an averaged start I was up into 8th behind the prolites after taking it very easy trough the first corner Mihi came up to pass me through the S section of the track which with it being wet was very slippery and knew it was not a good place to push hard and she low sided out of the corner. After making another overtake of a prolite i was up into my usual 7th place behind Aaron on his prolite after trying a few times to beat him into the corners his 250 got me on the exit ies to beat Aaron into the corners the pull of the 250 got me out of the corners. I decided to just take it easy and finish the race for points instead of pushing to hard and not gretting any at all and settled for a 2nd place.
