    Wanting GS(X)400

Rebuilding a GSX400 and interested in parts / whole bikes. Would be really keen on a frame with rego on hold.

    Thanks,

    Steven

    Steven,

Haven't got any parts, but do you have a manual? I have an electronic copy for a GSX 400F ('82/'83 I think) which I got hold of for a mate who rebuilt one. If you haven't got a copy, you can have one gratis - it's 40Mb.

    Cheers,

    Geoff

You need to be more specific with the model as the Suzuki 400's came in many guises
    GS 400 twin , 2 valve head
    GS 425/450 , twin , 2 valve head
GSX 400 twin , 4 valve TSCC head
GSX 400F inline four , 4 valve head TSCC etc
GSX400FWS inline four, water cooled, 4 valve head TSCC etc the pre runner to the GSXR/Implulse series
It all gets confusing with the vast model range the 4 valve heads have square caps on the cams and the two valvers are round easy to spot when you look.

Thanks, already have a manual though,

and it's the GSX 400 twin. Thanks I wasn't too sure what the difference was between GS and GSX as the manual I have is for both.

GS is two valves per cyl GSK four. although they were both badged GS in the states and some other countries just to confue you.
