as we all know its John Connors last time running the show... how we will survive without him? i sure as fuck dont know.
ANYway, Brian and i were thinking that on the Sunday at riders breifing we could have a nice big cheesy group photo, which we can then print and give to him, with a nice big "THANKS" underneath for al his time and effort at the track, in his shed or in long and strenuous emails and phone calls. im sure hell put it up next to the many signed posters of thanks from past champions ect in his man cave.

SO!! even if you dont plan on racing this weekend, show up on sunday, thank the bloody good bugger and maybe hang around for a beer afterwards, which im sure there will be lots of!!

It should be charged after last month's fiasco, but I'll get Henk to double-check it.

Pretty sure we'll still see JC, but probably more in the pits, rather than trying to organise us mottley lot.

He'll definitely be missed and we still need to organise ourselves as to who's doing what and where it's going to go from here.

There is also a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE thank you to Wendy for years of lap-scoring, so any last-minute ideas, post them here.

I think a lot of us are enthused enough to step up, but, for me, I've spent about 10 years organising trailrides, and don't want to get to the point I turn up as a spectator/organiser and don't get to ride (whichever) my bike I decide on the day.

Saturday we have to skive off early due to another commitment, but Sunday is all good

I first heard JC comment about how he wanted to get out of it when I first turned up to ride (the Banana), and wondered then who would take over. Fast forward about 5-6 years, and I don't think we'll have a choice but to step up.

Righto, anyone with an interest to help out, please talk to Henk on the weekend. I really don't want a 2nd job again (unpaid), so if we can spread the load, it'll be all good (it'll work).

I can get a print done at work (next week), so as captian_soup says - TURN UP

Thanks everyone for a great weekend. There was some awesome battles across all the grades.

Hope everyone manages to fix the bike in time for next meet.

We had FOUR females riding, with two others doing practice. JC was saying at briefing there were 41 riders practice day, with 45 on race day.

Thanks to Sarah, once again, for an awesome cake.

One thing that really impressed me was flagging. For once we were pretty good. Near the end of the day, for C grade and F5, it got a bit more difficult to get flaggies, but it was a lot better than we usually are. I started to wonder if I'd even get a go, and when I did, DM didn't let me down and had a beauty crash (bugger I had been loving watching the battle he was having with Max when I had a chance).

Two strokes were a bit temperamental with two seizing - DM & Cully - hope you both get it going soon enough. Cully, missed you in F5, but was having fun with Alistair. My darling husband needs to work out if he wants dinner or not for the next week - lap me again mister, and you're going to fend for yourself hehehe

Not sure. He's had it at the track, done the virgin crash on it, haven't seen it back.

It was raceable. But foot pegs are a bit high and a brand new custom made leathers weren't helping me squeeze on. Ended up smashing the foot pegs up in a couple of crashes.

I was going to make some new hangars and plastic pegs but ran out of time in between exams and the like. Hopefully will be going for next meeting. I might even have it ready for Taupo 8 years from now.
