The mods changed last year sometime and now they have fun moving threads all over the show and handing out infractions for all sorts of stupid shit.
I do remember a while ago one the of Admins saying nothing gets deleted here. Pretty sure it was even written in the site rules. So yes KB is going soft.

It isn't actually deleted. You just can't see it. Which is exactly the same way thread deletion requests have been handled since forever.
