    Typical...

    I finally sold my shop.

Now I have all the time I need to ride as much as I want.

Unfortunately, I also have no income any more so I can't buy gas.

    Sod's fucking law, really.

Other than wish you were riding, what are you going to do?

Bloody cold for riding just now IMHO.

You should have bought the building the shop was in while you were working, now you would be living off the rent.

I hope you 'pocket' some prized product before handing the keys over

You have anything in mind of what you're gonna do?

What am I going to do?

    Well...

For the next couple of months I can be employed at my old shop to manage the change-over without losing the current clientele. This is part time - about 21 hours per week at present but more after new owner gets the chiller installed and extends the hours.

I have had a couple of other work offers from the liquor industry to organise the wine sides of their businesses. Haven't explored this in any depth yet - depends on how I go here.

I have also renewed my teacher registration so can do day relief work if called. Good money but no work at all during holidays and a few bastard kids to deal with as well.

In the medium term, all being well, I will do a TESOL course and then sod off over the oceans to teach english to speakers of other languages for two or three years. I have a bit of an advantage here since I do have teaching experience PLUS a degree, so I can get into certain countries that require a degree qualification and are prepared to pay well for such people. Doing this I might make back some of the gazillions of dollars that owning a wine shop has bled from my coffers.

    So that's the plan.
