Cool. Thanks for that GAV. Not sure where the BMRC are at ? but the CAMS date for Saturday 8th September on the Ruapuna B track is confirmed. BEARS are running on the B track on the 9th so there's 2 days (well the BEARS is a half day) Bucket racing back to back. Ruapuna should be open for testing on Friday 7th so all the Norf Islanders can blow their two smokes up before handAs it we did last year, CAMS will be looking at looking to make sure it's a great days racing for all who come.
Wallace wanted to try the F5 GP as well seeing as it didn't get of the ground at Taupo, however MNZ rules only allow one crack at it for the calendar year and as it was cancelled at Taupo due to lack of entries that's it for 2012.
We've got a couple of bedrooms 15 minutes from the track if any of the NI mob wand somewhere to doss downCheers.
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!![]()
That's a real shame; I would have thought MNZ would have a little bit of wriggle room around this, especially given the fact that it was cancelled well in advance.
Maybe Wallace could try the NZ 50cc GP (not F5) slightly different rules..... but bucket racers except these things....
Re the F5 GP I'd ask the question of MNZ, costs nothing to pose the question and if you don't ask you have no already.
Stock is best
Maybe we should see how many numbers we could attract to race a F5 class first?

OK. So how many people from up north are planning on going? This year is looking touch and go for me but I am trying to get there still.
Best racing on the calender for sure. And the north island racers have some payback to try dish out. Maybe the 2 strokes will like the wide open throttle racing of B track.
My build is based around this event. But I may be whackeled if I can't share costs. I'm sure we can get some people together.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
...MNZ has funding for clubs to call on, as F4 is one of the classes in the fold and it is such an important event for F4, F5 racers, maybe the NI contingent could make enquiries of the leaders and ask for some of 'their' money to assist...you lot are entitled to ask as much as any other premiere class...
