Why should I have to pay for services I don't use?

I've just had a brilliant thought: why not abolish all taxes? Privatise everything. User pays. Every school a private school. Every hospital a private hospital. Every road a toll road. Coin-in-the-slot street lighting. Invoices from the police if they manage to solve the burglary that you reported.

Why hasn't anybody thought of this before?

Ahh, so you do support the possibility of collective strike action, social democracy, and high taxes...

Well, being a student at UofA, I support the staff, but at the same time, fees are high enough already How about both???

IIRC tho, uni made about $10m last year, although that figure could be out of date, or just wrong. It is certainly not a not-for-profit organisation.

That head wanker, whatshisname, to try and conduct bargaining the way he did (yeah yeah, I used to know what exactly he did, but now I can't remember), he deserves to be held accountable...
