    Veypor VR2 HELP.

    Kia Ora all,

My computer doctor is having difficulties upgrading the firmware on the Veypor for a customer. He has downloaded it from the site, the computer says the upgrade is successful but now he just has a black screen & is stumped. Anybody here able to help?

Appears to be reasonably common to have to reflash it a few times to get it to work successfully, so don't give up yet

Tried removing power completely, and then re-applying power?

Not I, but I will mention it. I am nowhere near smart enough for these things but my techy mate is stumped.

Yeah, don't give up hope though... I have some microcontrollers that have required holding your tounge just the right way for them to reflash.

The problem he has is that the update is succesful, so it said, but when he tries to open it on the computer it's just a black screen. No starty anymore.

Poor bugger really hates to let a client down too but he is stumped.

Yeah, that's not unusual If you were flashing from some sort of IDE or a reflasher that wasn't proprietary, there would probably be more info. Try starting it up with the very basics connected (just earth and 12v).

Bugger all help I know Sometimes these things just get a bee in their bonnet about nothing... sometimes I've taken the circuit board out, shorted the entire thing on a piece of tin foil to discharge everything on it, and then had success...

My mate has spent a fair but of time scouring the interwebs but all he has found is people with the same problem & no solutions. Oh well, onwards & upwards.

Hey fellas. I don't suppose anyone has a digital copy of the manual? I would be really grateful.
