    SRV 250 info needed please

    Hi, I have a Yamaha srv 250.
    Problem:Have just had the tacho repaired and now it seems to be revving higher than it used to.
    Is there any one out there with a SRV 250 able to tell me what the Revs should be at certain speeds just so I can check that Im not wrong?
    Idle=? rpm
    50kph, 5th gear =? rpm
    100kph =? rpm.

    Many thanks,
    Trevor W

    Possibly why the OP has asked the questions above?

    I don't have an SRV250 but according to http://gearingcommander.com/ your bike (with OEM sprockets) should be pulling the following;
    50km/h = ~3,200rpm
    100km/h = ~6,400rpm

    I gathert that as this thread is in the "electrical" forum ... the taco is electrical. A faulty sensor is more likely to give a lower reading than a higher one. (but usually ... it works or it doesn't)

    It was not stated why it was "repaired" ... but likely because it was not working ... or not working properly .... going on the theory ... if it aint broke ... no need to fix it.

    Ill take it back and have it looked at again as the info given seems to fit with what I thought it should be.

    Many Thanks.
