They don't mess around in Saudi Arabia

Was on Yahoo news this morning. Computer illiterate so can't link to it.

A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a middle aged man to death by beheading for accidentally killing two people while drifting his car then leaving the scene.

Saudis treat causing death while drifting as Criminally Negligent Homicide.

In 2005 they sentenced a Naval Officer to death however "reduced" that to only 3,000 lashes and 20 years in jail for killing 3 minors while drifting.

Apparently Saudi Arabia has no written penal code so Judges issue verdicts according to their own interpretation of the Koran.

Amnesty International says at least 87 people were executed last year, many by beheading.

Crushing boys racers cars after 3 strikes, child's play to the Saudis!!

Wonder if they would be interested in crushing boy racer cars with the boy racer in them

The thing is the guy was beheaded for killing people through negligence not for drifting. Whereas in NZ we crush their cars for just for drifting.

Guess we can't make any more action movies here like "Goodbye Pork Pie" as it depicts more than 3 instances of boy racer type driving, the car would be crushed before the movie was finished.

You obviously haven't seen all the movies on Best Gore and Live Leak where the Muslims take pride in murdering innocent civilians in front of a video camera.

they (arabs) got some f*ing crazy shit on pootube. hanging flash as audi's out..., driving on two wheels. (and one with an arab with a .700NE rifle... heh.)
there's one where four camel jockeys jump out the car, grab onto the doors and skate along on their sandals at about 100k/h

Just saw a video today of a beheading in Saudi Arabia. Looks quick and painless. Beats being electrocuted or poisoned I reckon!

Just like waiting for a billion volts to zap through your body. If you get a death sentence they should shoot you on the spot.

but it looks gory and therefore upsets people so not allowed. There are two, slightly contradictory requirements to executions.
    1. must be painless
    2. mustn't look bad

Can't have it look bad, might cause people to have nightmares or feel guilty about executions.

George Carlin says with the right marketing, people would *love* executions (apart from the executee, that is)
