    infra red transmitter and receiver

    anyone know a simple circuit for these ..........basically need the receiver to act as a switch so that it can turn on the mosefet as it receives the IR ........

    What's the IR input? If any input would work you have cap that charges off the IR output put that to your FET, then every time there is IR signal the cap charges up and turns the FET on. Cap holds the FET on for X time. Also need a resistor to ground to slowly discharge it as well.
    Life is difficult because it is non-linear.

    I hope I never see the day when I'm that damned lazy that I can't raise the effort to tell the wife to get up and switch the bloody MosFET.
