    yup.

...the front wheel is attached with a bolt and nut. (funny that) removing it involves (for the sake of ease) removing calipers too.
there is a torque spec for nuts in the shop manual. i'd imagine they don't put em in there just for fun.

and i've just shelled out for another fucking speedo drive. so you can bet good money i'm going to put it in on properly.

If your chewing them pull the drive wire down through the cable outer and make sure its ok. When you pull it down 10mm it will be free of speedo and should turn in finger tips nicely. Not many people would use torque wrench on caliper mounts. I do them firm with blue thread loctite but dont recall using my torque wrench. Same with axel nut but firm plus some. You are greasing the speedo drive and the wear is between large washer with tabs and the spacer with insert slots?
I offered you a tab washer for this over a week ago but you didnt respond. I made 3 of them for a gsx550ef which is likely the same unit and asked for the measurements of yours.

edit . I see you responded but you should have PMed me as I didnt flag your thread.

Another question. when I took mine apart the femal internal part the washer goes into was also worn. Its was about a third longer on the inserts than it should have been and also on 45degree angles instead of 90deg so I made these 90 again and my internal tabs on the made washer drive became 10mm wide instead of approx 5mm that they would have been stock.

Yeah thats also my bad because I never went back to your thread mainly because im often drunk.
Ill check the garage for them

I think I made 50mm by 20mm donut and removed 5mm from centre leaving 2 5mm by 10 mm tabs and took 8mm from the outside leaving 8mm by 10mm tabs. I made 3 incase after bending the shape wasnt correct but the first was good so the other 2 havent had the tabs turned yet.
