The best feeling in the world...

These are all from personal observation, prompted by a discussion I had with a friend a couple of nights ago... what really ARE the great pleasures in life

Pondering things (as one does form time to time...) I came up with a short list of experiences in life that beat all the others... in no particular order...

    * That just pre orgasm tingling when you feel the train coming from about 10 seconds away... and you know it AIN'T going to stop, and this one is going to hit HARD
    * Orgasm itself.
    * "Getting" a zit - when the little bastard leaps out (sometimes with that satisfying 'dip' noise. Espcially good if it's been eluding you
    * The relief of having a pee when you're ab-so-lute-ly BURSTING
    * A good stinky fart (why don't I mind mine... but anyone else's STINK?!?)
    * The first 30 mins of a good beer buzz. You're over the limt, you know it, and you are just SO FUNNY (wel you hope you are). The room swims - just enough to make it fun, conversation is harder to follow and if you're in a loud pub you're buggered...
    * Stepping out off a cliff with a paragliding canopy over you and feeling that lift kick in
    * Setting off a BIG explosion
    * That adrenaline shot just after a near death experience (just missing an accident or similar)

That's the list off hand for me... what do you guys/gals reckon?
    Thoughts?

'Meeting' a cop as you come round a corner at 180k and he doesn't have time to 'lockon'
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah - adrenaline in particular (the rest of them are pretty much an excuse or mechanism to release it!).

My little great pleasure... having my first smoke of the day after I've arrived at work and getting a head rush... take a deep breathe in and close your eyes as you let it out and it feels like your surfing the perfect wave except a lot smoother...

*likes that feeling a lot... I look forward to it every morning*

I think they mostly all fit into the adrenalin mould... but I'm interested in what kicks off that adrenaline... and as you say - that wicked "nailed it" feeling...

    Yeah that's up there!

Okay...what about the peaceful serenity that comes AFTER something - albeit orgasm, nailing a corner perfectly, riding a wave better than you ever have before, gliding and feeling the wind more accurately, etc. That's pretty cool - not the adrenalin rush, but the endorphins - they linger longer!!!
It is easier to accept the message of the stars than the message of the salt desert. The stars speak of man's insignificance in the long eternity of time; the desert speaks of his insignificance right now. - Edwin Way Teale 1956
