    Hey, my day is complete......

My daughter just sat on my knee, gave me a big hug, and told me she loves me. It don't get much better than that.

Playing along to a hardout metal song on guitar, and right when it gets up to a tricky part you get all nervous...

But then somehow you pull it off and you just feel like the absolute man, and everyone is all OMGWTFBBQ THAT WAS AMAZAING!!one.

    2) Waking up and knowing that you can stay there for another few hours

Lot of really cool ones mentioned, some of the ones I've experienced have been: adrenal rushes - mostly motorcycle induced; being sure I'm going to die then surviving; guiding my newborn child out into the world and being the first to hold him; my kids spontaneously saying "I love you"; having my kids come running to greet and hug me when I get home after a shitty day at work; finding myself "in the zone" on a windy strip of road at night, totally at one with the bike; sitting by a campfire half way up a bush-clad mountain in solitude on a starry night having a quiet cigarette and a coffee that tastes of Manuka smoke, listening to the Moreporks.

Compared to those, even the most satisfying orgasms pale to insignificance...

    In no real order

Waking up on a Sunday morning to find the weathers good
The buzzing feeling you get after a really good ride.
    Having a laugh with friends.
    Wedding day.
    Sharing Paris with the wife.
Argentine Tango Dancing with the Wife.
That feeling you get when you wake , thinking you need to get up for work , and realise it's Saturday !.

lol @ some of those perfect feelings..

    agree with most :

Mine would be - when you just get warmed up on the trademill and now are lying to push some insane metal (well for your weight category ) and then you hear 50 cent / tupac / The Game: music on.. damn i love that feeling. It just feels you can chuck on extra pounds on and go nuts

another great feeling is realising that you almost would have been dead but you are not - this can get even better if you did something really good to avoid a collision

ohh and ofcourse...smokin some boy racers a$$ . muhahahahaha

Seeing a classic wave suck up in front of You, paddling into it, taking off and looking down the line at a long feathering wall. That's the surfing equivalent of coming round a corner on a bike & seeing a massive high speed sweeper up ahead... just that anticipation of knowing things are looking good and You are about to give it all You got.
driving up the mountain after a good dumping of snow on a freezing cold morning with clear blue skies.
seeing your kid standing up in front of the whole school with a massive smile on their face receiving an acheivement award.
Seeing the look on someone's face when you've done something amazing for them.
Arriving at the airport & seeing Your partner and/or family waiting after a time away & knowing that there's somewhere in this world where You truly belong.
meeting up with good friends You haven't seen for ages.
    ..it's another red light nightmare..

OOoh ooh ooh! Yes, I love centennial highway - right by the sea. I know that people die on that there road, but it's a great stretch (in my opinion). I'm a sea-spirit anyway...and it's the first time you see it on the drive down, but you also know that you're 'almost in Wellington'. Have come to realise that the decapitating median wire fence isn't so good for mbikers though...
It is easier to accept the message of the stars than the message of the salt desert. The stars speak of man's insignificance in the long eternity of time; the desert speaks of his insignificance right now. - Edwin Way Teale 1956

I get to experience it in a couple of weeks' time - fair amount of anticipation, I must say.

No Paraparaumu ahau. Ko Wikitoria tooku maunga. Ko Poneke tooku Marae.

I'm heading "home" for a little under a week - hopefully enough to "recharge".

Yeah, it still feels like 'coming home' even after 40 years away.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.
