Not all bad news; only the right cylinder seized, the left looks fine.

The head is fine so the only thing i will need to replace is the piston and cylinder and i will pick up some jets and gaskets while im at it.

I do! I need to have another gander at them, maybe hit them with some HCL; if they're any good I'll give em to Asher (he'd need a pair though, they're VJ22 cylinders). I seem to remember they're not happy though. Being standard bore they're not much good to me, I figure if I get another RGV or RS, and it has a standard bore, I'll just plate the ones that come with it. Although TBH I'm more keen on an MC18.

I still have the cylinders off the race bike I brought so was going to use one of them and buy another vertex piston or unless someone wants to buy a single ring vertex b piston for their rg150 and I buy some oem pistons

Try some pool acid and a ear bud to clean off the ally from the cylinder .

Just went to order the parts i needed and i see the suzuki 1.4mm base gaskets are around $150 for a set. Anyone know of any cheaper, much cheaper alternatives?

    Can i stack paper ones?

I make my own base gaskets, but I tend to agree with SVboy. Get someone who knows what they're doing to help, or get everything from the shop.

Well the standard oem gaskets are only £11.50 each which i could deal with but the 1.4mm ones are £82.66, i dont care what you say im not going to pay that much for them.

What im wondering is can i put a .4mm on top of a 1mm gasket, or will it just end up leaking?

It'll leak if you do that.

Go to super cheap, and buy some 1.4mm gasket paper. Be about ten bucks.

Perfect surfaces are KEY to no leaks. Gasket sealant should be applied so thin you can barely see it.

Just remember to double check your squish cos thick paper will crush and give a tighter squish .

Carbs look fine to me, but its the plugs you need to look at to figure out jetting improvements.
