I was running NGK BR9EIX in good condition.

When i get to tuning the carbs should i try different jet needle heights? Should the first thing i try is putting in some L260/R250 main jets?

What throttle/rpm/load conditions are giving you trouble?

First thing I'd be looking at is how much oil/fuel you're mixing

Or hit it with a hammer

Lots of power at higher rpm.
At 100kph theres almost no power in 5th and 6th gear.
    ~100km per tank.
Fouling up of exhausts from semi-burnt fuel and oil.
Doesnt idle well but i think thats from the plugs fouling.

What im asking for is so i can order all the carb bits i need.
When it comes to tuning there may be a bottle of bourbon in it for someone.

I've not done any 2T carb tuning, but I guess you need to be more careful to not lean it out too much than with 4T. Those problems suggest the needle should be dropped a notch.
Idle can be set using the fuel screws (or idle adjuster) after the rest is done right.

Have you done a plug chop?
No point buying stuff without knowing what exactly it is.

Oh thank god. I'm not being a prick, but you're out of your depth when it comes to jetting and tuning mate.

If it was all parts from one bike, you'd have a shot of sorting it, but the pipes alone make the fueling requirements completely different.

Ya need someone who tunes smokers regularly, there's probably a hundred dudes who could jet it up nice in the bucket racing scene.

PM kickaha on here. He will point you in the direction of a capable tuner.

I think with aftermarket pipes you typically need to drop the main jets down a size so i will grab some 250's and a few other bits.

Dude, we've tried, and you no risten. Going leaner is WRONG! If it breathes more, it needs gas to compensate. Not because it goes bang better, but because it keeps it cooler.

Fuck sakes. Get someone who knows their shit, or you are doomed to keep rebuilding it and spending a fuckin fortune.

I realise that but as it was it was running rich (or so i believe), it only seized because i took the airbox off. Earlier in the thread the advice has been to buy a jetting kit which is what im trying to do.
I do appreciate everyones help and advice and i havent been trying to ignore it.

Put it back to how it was when it was "running rich" and work down from there

If you had any brains you'd suck imdyings cock until his head caved in and get him to help you (if he could be arsed)

    Hahaha.
Thats what my plan was, not sure how you would go about tuning a bike that isnt running.
I will do an order from the tuning works tonight (finally) and just grab an assortment of bits that will cover anything i will end up needing.
