cool books got them all, guy from England joined my church a couple of years back and quizzed him cause his last name is Webster. Turns out his dad is Steve Websters cousin and they use to travel around watching Webster race. Trying to get him to invite Steve Webster out here for a holiday, who knows it may work.

Nah, its repairable.............................. with abut 300 hours work...... It's pretty much toast from the left side, underbelly 2 inch tube snapped in half too!
Haven't had a real good gander, but there's alot of damage everywhere. It took a hard knock, so I'm picking the inertia of the engine going sideways would have bent stuff there too.....

Nah, Sidecar Bob didn't fall off - he bailed before he too ended up headbutting the 20 foot containers at the end of the run-off area at turn one. He was hangin on for dear life before he made a smart judgement call to preserve himself.

Good to see you both walk away, didn't look good mate.

Did you lose all the brakes?

Yip. The rear brake torque arm tube snapped in half, and the rear caliper then spun on the disc, and ripped the brake line off the rear caliper. This in turn rendered the side/rear shared master cylinder useless. As the front and rear master cylinders share the same foot pedal, when the pedal went right back, the front was rendered useless, as the pedal travel went to full extension, and the brake bias box just hinged on the inoperable rear/side master cylinder plunger.

Stink! I was pumping the brakes furiously all the time, as well as going down the gearbox, but with such a high gear ratio on the Busa, you're still going really quick in 1st.......

I tried to spin it left to no avail, so then decided to spin it right, thinking that hitting the containers with the side wheel would be safer than going straight in!

Funny thing was, I thought about brake failure there in practice, and thought 'Feck - wouldn't want to fail there - huge containers to hit with no haybales!'
Imagine if Nick Cole & co. had a brake failure into there at a far higher speed.......

Makes sense. Happened right in front of me, you'd just got off the gas and changed down, I remember thinking "he orta have changed down again by now, shirley". Then heads came up and there was a bunch of activity, then some swerving and then the crunch. I thought you'd scrubbed off more than you had, from back up the straight you couldn't tell how fast you were going until you hit.

Hope it all straightens out OK.
