Fine then, we'll put the extra one back on the front. But if it fucks up the shiny bars we put on, you're gonna get it in the arse!

Dunno why you care, you're the jumper offerer!

I don't want to have to find someone else to drive me and my car about.

I'm thinking along the lines of a motorcycle master cylinder that operates the front brake on the same brake line as the foot pedal.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

Na, too hard to make one way valves and shit.

    Seperate lines is best.

oo flag that.. at hamptons my brake line got ripped clean out of caliper.

agip bike has hand brake running its own caliper on the front.. it can stop the bike by itself.. or at least scrub off a bit of speed.. coupled with chopping down gears on the rear its not too bad. If I could trust the fluid to not be cooked when i need to use it I would say its the ideal setup.. need some dot 5 in it or something

relying on an emergency rear brake plus chopping down gears will prob lock up..

How much are you using it during the races?

Ok Sidecar people, dot 5 is agricultural brake fluid for Harleys and massey Ferguson. Dot 4.1 is race fluid.

It should be replaced monthly! Really heat resistant fluid absorbs moisture, which when heated evapourates. That vapour in the system is the spongy feeling of fading brakes.

So the good stuff, very quickly becomes worse than the cheap stuff.

All brake fluids are not soluble with each other either. Do I need to say this again for effect? Because lots of Sidecar guys (and girls come to think of it), are whining about their brakes not being right, but few are starting with the basics.

    As you were.

    Cog

    Brake bias.xls

Does this file attachment work? (Didn't know how to post up a .wmv file)

If so, you'll see that when there is total failure of the left master cylinder (rear/side), the brake bias bar just pivots at the other cylinder (front) allowing absolutely no pressure whatsoever to the other cylinder.

All my brake pumping was to absolutely no effect.....

I think you'll find most other rigs are the same too.....
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

Do you just make shit up Drew? All that Heineken has not only ruined your figure but your mind has gone too

Dot 4.1? Never heard of it!
Dot 4 and Dot 5.1 are both Glycol based, Dot 5 is Silicone based and should never be mixed with other.
5.1 has a higher boiling point but does need more maintenance in way of bleeding more often because its more hygroscopic.

dot 5 is silicon based and not used that often, are you sure dot 4.1 even exists most stuff is either dot 4 or 5.1 for race use

I doubt he's still using Harley brakes...Unless he doesn't like stopping. In which case you might wanna pitch your outfit to him for sale.
