I just tried to look up the rules, and the new website seems well designed, and fuckin useless since it's broken.

27.8.4 A lanyard type spring-loaded switch must be mounted on the handlebar,
handlebar clamp or chassis member, and must be attached to the Drivers wrist
or upper body in such a manner as to not inhibit or impede the Drivers
movement while competing.
This switch must interrupt the main ignition circuit in addition to cutting
power to any fuel / oil pumps fitted to the vehicle in the event that the Driver
is thrown from the machine, and must be operated by a suitable cable or
extendable wire (like a coiled telephone cable) with a fully extended length of
no more than 1 metre .
Fuck there's a thing from the past, how many of the younger generation have even seen a telephone with a cord on it I wonder
Nope, doesn't work from my phone. Will fire up the desk top and have a gander at a few things.
No Spyda, I do not have a hard copy of the rules as we build the chair. I don't think anything we've done is covered in the rules. Except chop off a brake and put another on the front.
I have had a reasonably productive afternoon.
I am building a pre '82 Katana 1100 to replace what Jay is currently riding & as a result, I have a full standard braking system on the shelf that has been replaced by a Brembo system. I have mounted some of it on the Pink bike, with a Katana front caliper on the r/f disc, a braided hose & Katana master cyl, which looks right at home on the sloping handlebar.
I have not had to drill or cut anything at all on the outfit, the new caliper braket uses the existing caliper mounting bolt holes, just with longer bolts.
I tried to fix my brakes but run out of gas in Brucies Mig. So have used some of Scrivys "Black Tack" (patent pending). Its basically Blue tack painted black, but in my case I just used a vivid to stop any copyright infringment.
Nope. As with most people I figure that an outfit that has raced before here would be compliant.
Rules mean fuck all in New Zealand till someone protests, or a bike fails tech inspection or scrutineering.
Wanna start a warrant system, petition MNZ for a rule change. Otherwise I'll spot check a couple things for piece of mind and carry on.
