Just a quick update on Barry Sheene, 12 sidecars from Aus have registered, 4 F1, 4 F2, 4 posty, so hopefully 10 make it, will know shortly who has confirmed, Shane Souter (ex GP sidecar) is coming. As is Doug Chivos on the TZ again , so that would be another F1 entry forms out in a couple of weeks hopefully. Also hopefully seperate F2 trophy

I am said refugee, and yip more than happy to take anyone out for a few laps on a tuesday or friday practice session at ruapuna.

I'm in chch now and I was supposed to be out there at 'puna today and next week but that has fallen through for now as I have new brake issues to deal with. not winning at the mo!

Just got home from a mildy successful chch mission. all 4 brake calipers from the Agip bike have been fully rebuilt/reconditioned.. even painted, new seals, greased up etc etc. 2 bleed nipples replaced as were leaking, 1 reconditioned master cyl and 1 brand new master cyl. brake pedal has new bearings, brake balance bar has new circlips, cleaned and greased and is finally operational - we can now shift the brake balance from front to rear! before it didn't do anything and was useless.Didn't manage to get out on the track as we had to get the bleed nipples done and buy a new master cyl today and it was 4.30 by the time we got that done.. and time to head back to dunners.. next weekend should be able to go out for a test session at puna.

but when i arrived home in dunedin I had a big box waiting for me.. from Mo Haley. In that box was full of sidecar stuff, mainly all Team Agip bike stuff, posters, clothing, books, news paper cuttings, more photos, memorabilia and more.. its so cool I don't think I can sleep. Gave me a big motivation boost to put time money and love into the bike and go all out to restore it to good if not mint condition.. talking frame up rebuild..

couple of snaps, he also included some setup notes, workshop manual for FZR motors with notes and stuff inside.. and heaps of wicked stuff, badges/patches, competitors cards n stuff for bathurst and championship events from days gone by.. very cool.. to me anyway..

couple of photos for anyone else interested!

have to find some frames and stuff to protect all this sweet stuff and hang it all up.. also a way to protect the shirts and clothing.. any ideas are welcome to protect all this nz sidecar racing history for a long time to come.. hate to see it deteriorate..

building up quite the collection for my bike, only thing missing now is the 2 alloy wheels that at some point were seperated from my bike.. i still have 1, the front, but missing side and rear.. just incase someone knows where they are and wishes to return them

Its a pity that Dave Beresford (agip rider) got a divorce from sidecars. I could forward you his contact details if you wish, but I cant promise he will be very forthcoming.

Any interesting or frightening tales of your test day to pass on?
