*FOR SALE* Formula 2 sidecar (2009 DDR chassis)
The bike has had a complete rebuild and has not been raced for the last two seasons; it has been maintained and kept immaculate regardless of cost. The bike was raced competitively for two seasons in the British F2 championship, and would be more than capable of winning at club level!!
    Comes with.....
    • K8 motor with light work done to the head
    • Full titanium exhaust
    • Quick release front wheel
    • Single nut rear and side wheel
    • Quick shift gear change
    • Yoshimura wiring loom and box
    • Carbon fibre air box
    • Under tray and platform in Carbon Kevlar
    • Brand new fairing fitted (unpainted)
    • Second fairing unfitted
    • 9 wheels including full set of wets
    • Special tools included
    • Full set of sprockets
    • Maxton shocks on front
    • Spares kit
This really is a great bike which is priced to sell, we will be very sad to see it go but due to a lack of race funds and work commitments we are unable to continue to race.
    ABSOLUTE BARGAIN £7900

Imagine the whining if I hit him again

I'm tempted to give you a nudge, but I'll tell you Scrivy put me up to it and you can rape him in the mouth instead

So after watching Wanganui on the TV yesterday, and re watching several times the last corner pass that was made for the race win in the last race, and given the in the last couple of pages, I cant decide if it was a great move or a dirty move.

    It looked ok to me

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Rubbing is racing ..... but, the onus is on the overtaking competitor to do it cleanly....

That was a big enough gap that even Kick might have got through without touching. It looked like Aaron had thought the gap would be covered but when it presented itself like that he had to have a go for it...a bit like Marquez vs Lorenzo at Jerez last year.

I'm biased a bit towards a dirty move, they made contact so it wasn't exactly a clean pass which means there wasn't really the room and he couldn't have won the race without making contact

But it was nowhere near as bad as some people seemed to be saying

    Ruapuna NZ nationals Rd 1

    Ruapuna NZ nationals Rd 1

After getting back from racing Wanganui we gave the outfit a bit of a going over as we need to make some changes

The new rear Avon tyres are taller than the Yokohama tyres we were using so the Thursday before unofficial practice we did some set up, changing ride height and camber angles to suit

    Friday 3rd practice

We’d gone a bit flash for this round and got ourselves a pit shed so we unloaded and set up our gear and wait our turn

Out on track with the changes the bike felt much better than our last club outing and more predictable in its handling

Over the course of the day we did about 4-5 sessions trying different lines working on braking harder and getting on the gas earlier and in the last session scrubbing some tyres in before we packed it up for the day

    Saturday 4th Practice 1
We’re taking it a bit easy trying Matt getting further forward around the infield sweeper to stop the push and get on the gas earlier and it’s felling pretty good and end up 7th fastest for the session 01:53.821

    Saturday qualifying

We put a bit more effort into this one or at least thought we had to find we’d improved our time bugger all and gone back one spot into 8th at 01:53.600

The Barry Smith/ Robbie Shorter after problems all Friday and in practice finally get out and end up on 2nd place spot

    Saturday Race 1

Lining up on the grid and I notice the Barry Smith/ Robbie Shorter aren’t on their grid spot
Farm boys don’t make the best of starts and Pirate/Darren are smoking the rear big time as Drew/Alan get a flyer from the row behind

I make it past the Farm boys but Drew/Alan make it into T1 just in front of us, we close them up under brakes into the hairpin and have to slow up a bit to avoid rear ending them on the exit
Around the infield sweeper and I see Barry Smith/ Robbie Shorter off on the side of the track having done a motor on the warm up lap

Drew/Alan get a bit out of shape sliding through the left hander but not enough to let us get past but when they run wide on the sweeper we go through with the Farm boys following
We pull away from Drew/Alan but the Farm boys are all over the back of us on their F2 outfit and about ½ race distance make the pass on us up the inside at the hairpin and pull away through the infield

Over the next couple of laps they pull a gap but we start closing them down and on the last lap are right up on them again, by this time my arms are tired and I’m struggling to turn the bike especially into the dipper

Into the dipper on the last lap and the farm boys try getting back to their agricultural roots by running off onto the grass on the exit and I’m hard on the gas knowing I’ve got a chance to get past, I miss the gear change and lose a few metres and it’s all they need to lead us to the line
    6th best lap 01:52.409

    Sunday 5th
We give the bike a bit of a going over and go out in the scrub session for a bit of a warm up and it’s all feeling good

Robbie, Barry and Dave have spent until 10pm the previous night doing a motor swap and are hoping for a better day for the team

    Sunday Race 2
This time around Barry/Robbie make it past the warm-up lap to grid up

The Farm boys get a flyer and I make it past the Pirate/Darren and onto the back of Drew/Alan, knowing I need to get past them straight away if I want to stick with the Farm boys who’ve made it through T1 in 4th I push the pass around the outside, I know it’s going to be tight and feel a bit of a bump on the way through

Pirate/Darren come through on the inside at the hairpin, Barry/Robbie have hit the front closely followed by Aaron/Denny and Alex/Glen and the Farm boys hold 4th for the first lap until Spike/Astrid and Pirate/Darren pass them

I’m not making any inroads on them this time around and they’re pulling away each lap and I have a pretty lonely race to the flag

    7th best lap 01:53.384

A quick check over of the bike and we’re ready to go again, Barry/Robbie also have had a good result with a 3rd place finish after all their drama with electrical and engine problems

    Sunday Race 3
I’m getting my starts a bit more sorted and get a reasonable launch, Pirate/Darren are smoking the rear as usual and Drew/Alan is doing his usual flyer up the inside

I’m alongside and pulling past the Pirate/Darren and moving left to go up the inside of the Farm boys wanting to be in front of them or I’ll struggle to stay with them

As I move over to go past them the Pirate/Darren moves left to avoid me and Give Drew/Alan a good smack

We make it through T1 and down to the hairpin in 4th where the Pirate/Darren take both the Farm boys and us under brakes into it

Spike/Astrid then goes past both of us into the infield sweeper, a couple of laps later we get a bit untidy out onto the straight running wide and the Farm boys go past us and start edging away
I can’t stick with them and it’s another lonely ride to the flag for another 7th best lap 01:53.535

We didn’t go quite as well as we’d hoped but learnt a bit more about the bike and are gaining more confidence in the bike every time we ride it , roll on Rd 2 at Levels
