Looks like a sidecar event on at Manfield in a couple of weeks time
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/manawatu-stan...eir-new-wheels

Feilding High School has some new wheels which are sure to impress at a bumper contest at Manfeild.

The school will be entering new sidecars for the secondary schools' Mini-Moto GP on October 13-15, which will be raced by year 13 engineering students.

Students from Feilding High School and more than 300 other entries from around the country will be at the annual fixture.

Designed by students last year and made by Fibreglass Developments in Feilding, the motorbikes and sidecars will reach speeds of up to 80kmh.

Feilding High School engineering teacher Roger Emerson said this was five seconds faster than the un-streamlined ones they had previously had.

Emerson said the students were excited to test them out on race day. He said the boys were extremely competitive, especially with each other.

Student Simon Goss, 17, said the new sidecars were awesome. He said it was easier to be the driver than the swinger in the sidecar.

"The driver just keeps you moving, the swinger has all the control."

Emerson said one wrong move by the person in the sidecar and they would rip the bum out of their leathers.

i hear on another forum with lotsa Poms that fields are down across the board in the UK - except the very top level.

Ironically, Shaun can probably answer this one better.....

With the sidecars they seem to frequently have a choice of 2-3 different meetings in a weekend so some meetings will have good numbers at the expense of others being a bit slim

Fields are fuller of Lower quallity riders and equipment like that Fuk wit Dreamer Drew on here that thinks he know;s everyone amd every thing. Money is just getting harder and harder for Sidecar teams to find to race seriously in the UK these days
