not entirely, it was the first rivetted monocoque in nz, andy had won three championships on it, it's dimensions were outdated not being long enough in the front and it's chassis was tired, so many other people had sold their rigs and people had chopped them around i don't think he wanted to see his baby suffer the same fate. he'd put a lot of time and money into it over the years.
he liver abroad and the effort to come back here and race was not want he wanted to put into it anymore.
Just heard that Terry Windle died.
A very talented chap that built some beautiful gear.
My dream sidecar, a short Windle with a Krauser 500 in it.
Spyda, would these be any help,to Andy? I know it was a GPZ900 engine, but same basic unit.

This is the same bloke gordie got the ex Colin Hooper outfit off that now belongs to Rick.
Road sidecars & foreign language, but some serious art amongst it all the same.
Start at the last page & work backwards as some of the earlier images have expired.

zx10 actually, at one stage he brought a new zzr1100 motor but didn't use it. andy actually collects zx10's so has more motor stuff than cycle parts, the biggest thing is time, he only comes over occasionally and has other shit to do, there is no need to get it going, if there was an event where it would fit in then that might move it up the priority list...
Would be cool to see it out running against the Agip bike. Speaking of which Agip bike will be back in Auckland monday afternoon then start stripping it down to clean up chassis and repaint bodywork again [ looking a bit second hand again at the moment ] Vince also gave me the low down on how to make it a 6 speed gearbox again. Colin Buckley told me the original yamaha motor out of it was what he used when at Bathurst in 2000
