it was one of the workers at the cemetery circuit, who mentioned it to me, i explained that as it was an in house meeting with no streaming or recording, and being a classic meeting where the people who hire me, yes pay me something, want commentary and entertainment so i didn't think the word shit was out of line.
he wasn't happy with my answer so run to mummy
what fucks me off is by the time it got to me it was 'a written complaint'.

i liked the local Dago Racing setup - Dago racing, then Dago drinking. In the 60's and 70's there were some crackers in the car world. MNZ would probably fine you for putting some of them on an entry form now.

Maybe they should look at who built the motor
Putting bits in a motor doesn't make it a hot rod motor it all has to work together to create the best hp

    Or maybe that's about right

Dunno about the Hondas but the stock GSXR1000 K4 is about 143-145 rwhp (3 different stock motors), with Yoshi cams, pistons, thinner head gasket, balance shaft removed and Kibblewhite valve gear it was 163-165 (2 different modified motors)

I know of a modified K6 with 175rwhp and that cost $1000 for each extra Hp over the modified K4

HP figures don't mean shit anyway, it's all about who is riding the bike as proven by Alex with some of his laps with stock motors

He doesn't need to. Still won by 3 sec even with a 20 second penalty.

I totally agree, even though i haven't met you in person Spyda i've enjoyed your commentaries and the wealth of knowledge you have and can't believe that anyone would be offended by the word Shit, we don't live in the 1920s anymore. Keep doing what you obviously have a passion for Spyda, rant over back to making a mufler for Agip, something more than just a stainless cylinder with a bit of tube floating round inside it. I was rather surprised that the complainant is a trustworthy friendly, kind & generous chap, who's number is in my phone, that has been very helpful to us.
To be honest, I didn't see that coming from him.

Talked to him back in the day. They were introducing Formula Extreme in the US and had suffered several fuel fires with Methanol. I was pushing a remit here for compulsory 5% Tolulene to make any flame visible. He was very interested and went back hoping to do something similar.

    His last comment to me

" At 68, I'm still riding. Been on TZ250's again since 1992. Did take 18 months off after I died at Laguna in 2001.

After 52 seasons, I think I should hang up the leathers, but I'm to stupid to do anything else." LOL, I am in the same boat as him I guess, But at 52 years old

i have no problem with someone actually having the conviction of their beleifs to mention it, it's where it escalated too that gets under my foreskin; just interested that i can't recall anytime in the last 23 or so year i have done some form of commentating at wanganui that person coming and saying good work or something either.

I am a bit surprised that. Most people on here and in the racing scene know I am a JW but I never admonish anyone for their language. I may not enjoy the sound of expletives but I judge a person on their heart.

I have great respect for many people who swear like troupers because of the kind of person they are. In fact, in the years I have been involved in the racing scene it's rare to find anyone who doesn't swear. I have always enjoyed Spyda's commentaries and often told him so.

It's not my place to impose my personal standards on others. However it is a free country and if someone complains about public behaviour or language there are processes to go through.

I would be saddened if you gave up commentating Spyda
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
