is the main straight/slight curved straight longer than ruapunas? cause we top out at ruapuna in top gear.. still thinking if I should lug some heavy ass steel sprockets in my luggage or not. could just bring a slightly smaller rear? dunno if the chain will then be too long etc though. we haven't played with it yet. prob not the best time to start playing around on an island far far from home

its uphill so your gearing should be fine

It's uphill for most of that untill the curve and I think would be longer than Ruapuna, maybe sprockets one or two smaller for the rear or one bigger for the front if you want to be safe

Front sprocket makes more difference, and usually doesn't require chain to be shortened or lengthened.

haha, was kinda rhetorical then I guess.. the rear looks easier to change. front is a very tight squeeze and I had enough probs getting tools in to get the clutch slave cylinder off the other day.

wheres all your years of wisdom I'm trying to tap into

chur chur.. they are smaller and lighter too - gotta pack light for the flight

gotta call JetStar later - I don't see engine oil mentioned on the dangerous goods list, nor is engine coolant and hydraulic fluid.

Only just had a look at the paperwork for the BSTT, not being near the ute will be a pain in the arse. I'd've booked a pit space if I'd known earlier, blast.

You should have sent it with the bike, if it's a problem find somewhere up there to buy it
