Awesome mate, that looks very tidy.
Scrivy, it was a bit more than 20 years ago.
i just need a couple of stickers and im good to go!
Looking very good - deja vue time...
Gotta ask, does Mo know you're doing this ? I've never, ever, heard him be complimentary about any of his old outfits. He seems to work on the basis that the current or most recent build is the last word and all the others are now shit.....and that one and it's owners gave him a fair amount of grief at the time. i'm curious to see his reaction to someone thinking one of his is worth restoring....
Cheers bro the front stickers on the nose got a bit creased.. i was doing it by myself in the wind and it got away on me.. couldn't save em. doesn't show up in photos. still looks neat tho hehe
Cheers bro, Biketranz grab it 9am tmoro hopefully.
cheers brother, I love it. sadly I mucked up the frnt stickers, they got all creased. oh well, next time will be better. can prob rip em off and try again with new stickers in same spot with someone helping.
Thanks Grumph
- Nah I doubt Mo knows I've done this/doing this.. I wouldn't know how to get a hold of him or anything, and like you say - he may not care at all haha! maybe he will see it one day or find out about it
Vince Steur said he might be at the Barry Sheene/Hampton Downs though so hopefully he comes over for a look.
Mo's still in Richmond, Nelson. He moved a while back so i don't have a number now but the pub at lunchime will find him...
The annual outing to the GP at Ruapuna seems to be his only trip outside Nelson now. I must come along on the Friday to see his reaction....
Maybe it should be a formal thing...all the guys who know him at an unveiling ?
Looks bloody mint. I wouldn't get too worried about a sticker that is a bit wobbly, most people are only going to see it from a distance and at speed anyway. Excellent job, can't wait to see it in the flesh.
Stock is best
Yeah, because you would only need one set then.
Eddie, Take another look at that old clip that ends with the Scrivy crash (I had nothing to do with it) & see the deck extension on the Agip outfit that extends behind the rear wheel. For some reason it has been removed over the years & I wonder if it should be re fitted.
It seemed to work quite well & I dont think you will find another passenger anywhere, that got as far right & as far left as Vince did, he was an extremely comitted passenger.
The thing is, that people buy a NZ title winner, as was the case with the Agip outfit, & then think they can make it faster with some hair brained mods, in their first ever year on sidecars.
I suspect it stems from people thinking that they should be faster than they are & blaming the equipment, before they even begin to grasp the basics of how it all works.
