    Race leathers?

Can any one suggest a good make of race leathers?
Mine are early 80s and a bit ph#*ked.
Some thing with as much padding as me would be good.

Yours are more than a bit F%$#@ D

kushitani, spidi, dainese, Fieldsheer, Alpinestars, Pretty much as long as lots of double stitching and not made in the sub-continent most are well up to buckets.
Mine are Collins and bought 2nd or 5th hand and are made in Korea they would not be top of my replacement list but have survived lots of offs by me and by an unknown number of previous wearers

Best leathers I owned were my Teknics. Stood up to about a million crashes with very little damage.

So for you guys pushing Leda, what's the turnaround time like
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

Like the sidecars as last years nationals, so fast you never noticed them there!

Turnaround time has always been good for me.

Whatever you ask for usually. When he did mine he first made a canvas version then came around and fitted that to me on the bike. Then the perfection is made and they are so nice you just don't want to crash. But when you do they stand up very well.

Must have been light crashes. Mine have torn open on the shoulder (still suffering from that one), arm, knee and backside. The only positive of buying Teknic leathers is that you'll keep the local leather shop busy with repairs

As a side note my Teknic gloves are great and have stood up to a hammering!

I agree with all the people saying go for a leda set. Best leathers I ever had were a set from Dusty.
However, if like me your on a smell of shoe string budget, try this mob at http://click2buy.com/index.php?route...ory&path=67_68 at gp leathers.
I just landed a set and I'm bloody impressed. They even let me change the colors to suit my race bike and send custom measurements for my slim 6.6 frame, and they fit super awesome! The grade of leather seems good and the sewing is triple stitched and so straight it looks like a bloody robot did it! All for $380 NZD LANDED! Only took 3 weeks from ordering to receiving them.

Well Org Poster in Dorkland hes a bit far from Snakes Gully, but Dusty is the man. Have to force extra money into his hand. Been meaning to get some new race ones done, just got to put the coin together.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
