Looking for the right sparkplug spanner

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help out with finding the right size spanner for my bike (I'm currently in the process of building up a tool kit). This might sound like an obvious question (with probably an even more obvious answer) but I'm fairly new to the world of tools.

    I have a 2003 Suzuki TS185 ER, and I know it takes a NGK BP7ES.
The dimensions of the spark plug are: Thread Diameter - 14mm, Hex Size - 13/16, Firing End - Standard 3/4'' thread reach (2.5mm) center electrode.
My manual recommends one of three different sizes of spanner: 10mm, 12mm and 14mm. Its confusing because my manual also covers the same model of bike but of different CC sizes.

Which spanner would be the correct size for my bike? And on that note, any recommended brands I should be looking at?

    Thanks.

Never mind folks, I just realized that the size of the spanner is determined on the size of the thread of the spark plug. The size I'm looking at is 14mm.

    No, it's not.

The size spanner you need is 13/16" or 21mm.

My TS185 uses a "normal" big spark plug socket. The same size that the majority of cars use.

    Hello,

Any idea where I could find a 18mm spark plug socket? Car tool shops don't have them.

Ring a proper tool shop, or ebay.

Sulco, or maybe even BNT (branches everywhere). Best for today is Repco, their tool selection isn't the worst.

Supercheap list them, but seems a bit short http://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/onli...95#Description

Thanks. Repco was useless, but the Supercheap one might do the trick.

If you ask for 11/16" you'll find life easier. It is near as dammit to 18mm and is in fact, the correct size
Given that it is for occasional use any brand will do. Buy on price in this instance.
