    Ladies leather pants in Christchurch?

My wife wants to get a motorcycle and get her motorcycle licence.

Shes got a leather jacket and helmet etc, but she wants some pants too. She's not keen on cordura or kevlar jeans, she wants leather pants.

What shops is there in Christchurch selling leather pants for women? Most of the bike shops around only seem to be selling cordura.

Otherwise what websites is there around for this sort of thing?

    Cheers,

    Sam

Leather Image, 34 Fitzgerald Ave. They offer a great service. My wife could not find a pair of leather pants that fitted like a glove in any of the bike shops. Stumbled upon Leather Image at the end of the day and the pair she tried on off the rack were great in some areas and not quite right in others. So they made her a pair combining the best of both for the same 'off the rack price'. They were very helpful and we will be going back there for any of our leather needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! (check out their web site)

Sadly I would not recommend leather image on fitzgerald ave as I bought a pair of his leather touring trousers and all 3 zips failed, the belt strap snapped off and generally fell apart in just over a year.....so much for nz made.....

I wouldn't either their gear is nasty I tried some on thought overpriced crap and walked out..... stick with a well known international brand Alpinestars, Teknic, Joe Rocket etc.

A good friend of mine found that the zips break too, stitching is not that great.

+1 for Leather Image. They were able to fit out my wife when none of the bike shops in Christchurch or Dunedin could. Just remember their gear is only single /double stitched, not tripple stitched like the top quality gear. So its quite OK for normal riding, but you may need repairs to stitching, zips, etc more frequently than with more expensive leather gear. My Jacket is now just about due for replacement after only 8 years use.
