Selling the YZ? Thought it was common practice for racers to ride trail in the off season, anyhow on the Naki roads you might need it to get to work.

I'm just jealous as you have more toys and use them to play, whereas mine is mainly transport, which is why I have an F and not the R.

    Welcome

Fucking aye! The day is not done until the bike has been waterblasted.

So in other words my goal is to work towards getting into nationals , in a realistic timeframe lol . if i had money and a few speed canisters to fire while im racing then definitely !

    hey berik twin.
nah go on and do round 4 as well. it has been good having such a big field in clubmans ...aside from the 4 new fast guys that showed up and owned all the points this weekend.
and grief you hardly need speed canisters.. one or two seconds quicker and there will be heaps of people for you to pass. self included

Sounds like a good plan. I'm another newbie to the forums, not so much to riding. Had a 1990 FZR600 back in the states that I went to my first trackday on, and had the hook set proper like. Came over to NZ bout 18 months ago and managed to pick up a nice '06 Daytona 675 that I love. Been to a couple of trackdays at HD and Taupo, and really want to get into racing.

My train of thought is to pick up a post classic pre '89 (probably a VFR400) and use this summer to get better on the track via trackdays, and then try my hand at racing in the Winter series next year. Definately need to find some more speed (read bigger balls) before I go out into the racing scene and become a mobile chicane.

Nice work ! I was originally looking for a 675 when I was searching for a bike but then the GSX-R came long couldn't resist ! WAS in immaculate condition , now look at the poor thing as long as it goes i dont care what it looks like
I had no idea what I was getting myself into by entering the winter series , only did it as a one off shits and giggles game but now im hooked , and it helps that my times getting better .. not good enough tho lol . Gotta get faster ! See ya next season
