I'm sure the rules will get tweaked again next year to suit the next great thing, or someone else no doubt ..... personally some cost controls would have been nice rather than adapting the rules for what appears to be 2-3 bikes but ohh well....
Some very clever observations there,It is indeed a work in progress,As it always will be,Assuming the two strokes are horrendously fast,Then we remove the restrictions on the Vtwins with the air boxes or the like,Won't really know til the flag drops at Ruapuna for round 1 in Jan.

Nope didn't adapt the rules to suit anybody in particular,Those bikes didnt exist when the superlite rules surrounding multi cylinder 2 strokes was changed.

One things for sure,Superlite's gonna have a widerange of machines on the grid this year,Maybe it will convince the gimp to reappear,I saw him snooping on this site earlier ?????

Its great that F3 is trying to evolve to maintain its presence in NZ, the 2 stroke rule is great (considering they were talking about putting 250GP bikes in the mix!!) I think 400cc 2 smoke is def very big compared to a 450cc multi 4 stroke...... but then im not building one!!

Removing the Airbox rule on Twins im not sure would be the best idea either......seems the 650s work fine and are a good bence mark and there are plenty of em, changing the ruling on the new 2 strokes IF it was required would make more sence.....Has anyone seen the air box on the ER........ id get nother 10hp out fo mine by ditching it........

I have heard there is a vid of the beast someone online????

Yeah matey - totally agree - i Def hate it when people build something out of the rules and then try and change the rules to suit....if the 2 smokers start to hammer us then maybe they'll let us bore out the 650s to 700cc and 450's multis to 500cc.... now thats a class!!!

Ps do you have a GP frame going for sale

club riders are diffent l could do 1.20s on a stock nc24 with around 40hp 180kgs! and get in 5th most the time years ago. lap record at manfeild on a 250 gp bike in around 1990 was 1 min 9 somthing with a jap rider so l guess with 25 hp more hp and the some weight you should get 107s around there like a f2 bike? .sorry to be a pain just how l feel should of been a 250 with a race frame or a 300 with what your running to be fair . why should the 99% of f3 bikes out there have to change there f3 bikes because there cocked up the cc of the 2 strokes. sorry mate . good luck

F3 sounds like it's going to be real interesting machine wise. Personally I currently prefer the Production classes for bums on seats and plenty of racecraft.
    "That's rooted!! What's next??"
