And yet, your profile says you've got a GN250.

May it struggle with your weight better than a scooter..
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

you'll be surprised... a single banger 250 ain't got much poke. But good on you for blowing up the scoot, you're on your way to bigger and better things...

Yeah have found out the gn doesn't have much for overtaking on the motorway but it does the job as a step up. Yeah pretty happy with the ol bitchscoot ending up like that

To be honest, I think in todays climate, it is pretty much a waste of time trying to get any sort of organised group together. Whether its a gathering of scooter, 250 or 1000cc sportsbikes riders, everyone has different ideas of what they want from such a group.

Ulysses works well, as does most established clubs. Read the various single focus sections on this forum, eg region based adventure riders, and there are not many that report back on regular group rides.

I enjoy riding with a small group, but my current mode of bike means thesedays, I do my riding by myself. I started writing about my rides hopeing that other riders of scooters in the 100 - 250cc sizes might like to join up for runs around the region. It aint gonna happen, so now, I just make my own plans and do my own thing.

    Sounds right .
I am planning on getting a 40 year old honda 250 twin would most likely cheaper to run than the scooter.
Then i would have to change my living situation to allow me to go wandering.
Unless the Grim Reaper has other plans
Its possible there could be other hold ups
