It just so happens that I have been revising this very subject quite recently so can give a very precise answer.

    P(Rnd(A : D l A=D) = (B.AD!)^0.5

    So easy really.

If you re arrange it so that you end up with ; (-1)^1/2 (2^3 ) ∑ ∏

and we all like to have done this , I know !

The probability of random selection of the correct answer is zero based on the selection of 3 possible outcomes and 4 possible choices where 2 choices would be correct making them incorrect. Two rights do make a wrong even though two wrongs dont make a right.

Can't be. There is only a 25% probability of randomly selecting B.

If there are four questions ... if there were four different answers ... it would be 25%.

Two answers were 25% ... so the answer was not then 25%. It could be 50%.

But 50% was one answer ... one of the four answers ... therefore the answer is 25%.

But as 25 % is two of the answers ... it must be 50%
