    Darwins law

I know I'm only new, but one thing that really pisses me off is stupid scooter riders.

Had an encounter with one this morning on my way to work this morning, was a bit eager off the bat and moved forward before the light changed and rear ended my rear tyre.

I turn around to look at him (aka stab him) and what do I see, but a guy in an open face helmet that has obviously been dropped, a T shirt, gym shorts and jandels. No gloves at all.
Between his feet he had a GIANT gym bag. Much wider than the scooter. So he had no where to put his feet on the scooter. I didn't get to see what he was doing with his feet but I can only imagine he was just dragging them along, jandels and all.

I hope darwins law catches up to him (not ACTUALLY but ya know.). It's people like him that make car drivers think that we're all like that.

    /Rant.

Can we please introduce a stupidity tax? It's people like him that make the motorbike acc levies so high, because they fall off and fuck their whole body up.

Just face it, you were bit too slow off the line and he caught you napping.

    Caught... sheesh.

It's Auckland, you're either slow off the line or dead when a red light runner takes you out...

    Funny story.

Dont know what it looks like now, but where Upper Queen Street meets K Rd, it used to be a simple crossroads, traffic light controlled. We'd sit on out R80RT-Ps (rocketships......NOT) on the Southwest kerb, waiting for someone coming up from Newton to crash the red light heading toward the city. Wew had to sit there to be able to see the lights they were seeing.

If anyone did, we then had to nail the lights and siren, and get across the intersection before east - west traffic started to flow. Bloody exciting, that little exercise. Taught you hpow to react quickly to light changes though.

Anticipating the lights is bloody dangerous though, given the way so many people crash the late ambers or early reds. 24 years later, it's still a favourite offence for me.

I didn't forget, I just couldn't make it by your deadline so figured you'd already shipped them off to the mission.

Nail polish is too much effort for me. How's yours?

Yes we can understand how dangerous 'accelerating' across the lights was/is for you Rastus

Do I detect a hint of pride stemming from your efforts to be a "good" motorbicyclist, Lozza?

    Splendid.

    Can't tell if sarcasm.

I am proud about the fact that I know it would be stoopid to ride with no gear as apparently this isn't common sense -_-
And I am trying... But my clutch hates me/I'm failing at hill starts atm. haha

Not using the sarcasm font, can't find a sincere font. Muppet spotting is a vital skill!

Keep practising, hills are only in the mind. My G/F had the same problem until she stopped thinking about the clutch & stalling, lifted her head, got a feel for the back brake & looked where she was going. Same with pulling away while your turning, when you look where your going it just happens.
