It was maybe a 20mm drop max and I went right into it, it felt like a gigantic tramline as the bike wanted to go left off the road. I was lucky to keep the bike straight and come up out of it square on to where the dropped seal ended. Bit of a sphincter testing moment. Since then I've been a little more circumspect in how much I clear the side of the road by, even more so on back country roads. It only takes one seconds drop off in concentration and you're in the brown smelly stuff (literally and figuratively).
YUP had the edge been dry (probably slippery under the water too) I think could have made it, but it did indeed feel like a tramline when it slipped over it.. but ending up in the smelly brown stuff? YUKKKKK, DAMHIK
