Bucket HELP! Honda CB / SL

Hi all.
after some help wih a bucket in pogress. have a CB125S complete (apart from a few broken wires) which has a damaged coil, and the kickstart shaft has snapped, just on the outside of the engine casing.

I also have an SL125 engine, carb, coil (no frame etc)

I want to know a couple of things, trying to get this working the easiest way possible

If I decide t5o keep the CB engine, would the SL kickstart shaft slip straight in without problems?

also, could I put the SL coil on the CB and it would work?

as an alternative, would it all work if i bolted the SL engine into the CB? would the wiring match up? would I have any issues?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

I rode a CB125 with an SL125 motor in it for years. Straight swap, no dramas & the SL has a good gear stack.

always thought the rules didn't like kickstarts ? (to lazy to look)

hey thanks for the help so far guys. hoping to have this thing up and running as soon as possible. Will put the SL into the CB frame, wire it up, and see if she will fire for me.'

Also, for future reference (as this will be coming soon)
whats the easiest way to get rid of the ignition/key? i figured Id cut it, and route the wires through a dead man switch as per bucket rule requirements . . .

To start; put engine in gear & pull in clutch. walk forward & release clutch.

is there an easy way to convrert these things to run without a battery at all (like a dirt bike)???

im probably going to keep this thread going as questions arise, rather than start a million different threads

Gday Did you ever find a way around having the battery? Ive been researching a wee bit. It seems you can get rid of the magneto and put in a XL one and a regulator and swap the coil for a 12v one.
