I need to re cut the valve seats on the 100cc supercharger project, whats the easiest way about it, will car shops have small enough tools or am i going to have to make my own tools?
Cheers,

I have never had issues getting valve seats cut, even on smaller heads
Having said that it pays to send them to a motorcycle friendly machinist,as we all know car guys and bike guys are a completely different breed.
When I had my workshop i used either HPE in Christchurch or Colin Clyne in Oamaru
Seeing as you seem to be in Welly I am sure there are plenty of good places up there that can help
Of course make sure you give them the valves so they can be matched unless you are absolutely sure of the exact angles
"more than two strokes is masturbation"

HPE in chch has a flash cnc valveseat cutter, most others are still in stoneage
My neighbours diary says I have boundary issues
Why don't ya give Bruce Telford a call Glen 06 3648784 for any info on what ya need, or help doin it of course if cost outweighs viability of settin up with tools ! Stop short of saying he'd lend out the gear ya need cause he's running a business, but we all know he's a GC
And just around the corner from you lol
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Kerry Lyndsey is a thieving cunt, and I would drive to aukland to get work done before I went anywhere near his fuckin shop!
C'mon Drew, this is the internet. Don't hold back - Say what you really think.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Drew for Prime Minister!

Go on then, tell us a story....
Got him to bore out a cylinder once or twice. No worries.
Hamish got him to port his FXR head. Had no worries!
Nice enough, he has two shops one in petone and one in poruia, so can't be that bad of a guy. Dad's known him for years and i always point people in his direction.
I have in the past and probably will again. When I go to him it's usually a full weld/remachine/reseat job after a disaster....
If I'm in a hurry and it's a multi, Cylinder head specs look after me....singles I do myself.
I've had work done by pretty much everyone with a Serdi or equivalent in ChCh and all are capable of good work on the right day without pressure.....generally.
I shouldn't be quite as critical as I am, the dumb bitch who let him build a complete new motor, for a cracked head on a 4g63 single cam mitsi that I had to pay for is as much to blame. But I could have got a whole car for what he fuckin charged, and I think it is his responsibility to say that to a customer.
Hey at least you're being honest about it now. Which isn't the Kiwibiker way.
So you should have downgraded that to "charges like a wounded bull". No one values another person's value of work. That said some places do like to charge.
"Thieving" sounds dishonest.
Reconing is dieing, there's only a couple in the hutt. Far cheaper & easier to plonk in an import or wrecked unit & then hope like all feckery that it isn't as shagged as the last one & the seller was being honest. If its a Mitsi then its pretty much Fait Accompli, as they will all be poked.
I asked the other one what a recon for my van would be. It wasn't going to be cheap & would depend on if the rest of it would be worth it & I intended on keeping it another 14 years. If I did then it would be worth it. For 5 years a wrecked one would be worth the risk.
But it isn't a Mitsi, otherwise the head would crack as a matter of course as all L300s seem to.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
