Route is ≈1,025km via: (* denotes digital pic required)
    Rimutakas - Masterton – Mauriceville* - Saddle* - Stanway* - Vinegar Hill - Turangi* - Taumarunui - Awakino* - Pungarehu* - Parrot ‘n Jigger

A register of riders will be kept to ensure everyone returns.
    There are Spot Prizes.
It is not a race and should be easily doable at a sedate pace with stops…enjoy the ride.

This should be a pleasant wee pootle this year, especially for any that haven’t experienced the delights of riding the Awakino Gorge & Surf Hiway

The $15 entry fee (non-refundable donation) covers the badge &/or year bar and the profits go to Muscular Dystrophy.

The $15 is required at time of registration please and we have to order the year bars, so these can’t be guaranteed for entries received after 25/10/11. Account details will be supplied on application.

As per previous years, Ride Instructions and a Briefing will be emailed the week before the event.

Well it now looks like there will be at least 3 of us starting at Turangi. I have the job of organizing that start and finish. Mike Couchman from Whangerei is also interested. I'll look forward to seeing you cheers Jim

Details are emailed to registrants, not publicly available. The provided info gives you a fair idea and you know it's going to be just over 1000km.

This looks like an easy ride with some very nice sections to light the smile.
    Here for the ride.

With nearly 6 weeks to go, we currently have 20 riders registered…with another dozen or so having indicated interest but yet to confirm (with the pingers).

At this stage the 20 (of which 4 of these are newby C1KC virgin types) are: 13 starting from Wellington; 4 from Wai’rapa; 2 from Turangi; 1 from Napier ……and that’s 0…none…zilch….zip…nada from Palmy???? (I think they’ve all turned to the Dirt Tracking Dark Side) So, check with your mates and give them a nudge.

So….if you are considering doing the ride but haven’t yet registered (paid), I will be placing the year bar order on 25/10/12, so to be guaranteed your badge/bar, you will need to be in by then.

Seeing I'm not dirt-tracking until the following weekend, I'm probably in...
