Saturday is forecast to be 25 degrees and sunny. Can't wait.

Fork seals/oil done 1000km ago. New tyres ~600km ago. New pads and chain going in on Thursday. I honestly don't think my bike has been in better prep for a trackday.

Only wish I'd seen the deals going on the S20's and got those instead of the old Powers (non 2CT). Still, planning to focus on technique rather than out and out pace so should still be plenty sticky for my needs.

Should get a response from there with confirmation. Im guessing theyre putting a list together and then sending everyone's confirmation at once.

Looking forward to Saturday's track day myself. Havent been on the track since Sept and got new slicks to wear-in for my brothers bike that he's racing on Sunday.

Didn't get any confirmation for round 1. But there were no problems, all of our lot were on the list.

Thanks to PMCC for great day out and great value running full circuit for $60, think got about six sessions in. Having a nosey at those MV's being tested was added value too.

Smile Dave Moss at Pacific Round Taupo

Wow what amazing weekend, perfect weather for riding, track in great nick par one turn, (9) and some very keen riders ready to get their suspension sorted.

Dave helped out 30 plus riders on Sat, with most if not all going on to set PB's or just going faster and safer than ever before. Me included with a 8 sec plus drop in PB's Mint as.

Sunday was just as busy with many racers needing help with set ups and building on Sat's work done by Dave, plus many new faces who missed out on Sat's set up times. From all our riders and attendees I saw nothing up smiles and high fives on both days. Sweet as

Thank you Pacific club for putting on the event and hosting Dave Moss, bring on next year.

    Thanks!

... to Play Day track days and Aaron Slight for a great event on Friday in excellent weather and to Pacific Club for a really well run 2 day event with a really enthralling race day on Sunday. I felt very welcome there at all times.

Thanks to everyone that sought out information, advice and general guidance for improving their bike over all three days in a cost effective way to suit their budget. I really appreciate those who sought out chassis and suspension help and want to acknowledge all the riders that not only relaxed and had a much better experience with their bike at all times on track, but also shaved off 2-4 or more seconds of their race PB's through information, understanding and then the application of that on track with the bike.

A special thanks to those that came to the evening seminar and did the track walk with me to discover many new things about a track they didn't know as well as how track design influences a chassis and suspension along with risk recognition based on camber changes and how to mitigate that risk.

For those coming to Manfield next weekend, you'll get the same opportunities before i leave. If you are on the fence about it - consult your peers for their experience this weekend at Taupo.

One last note - there is a big demand for more information over the next 10 months prior to my return so I will be posting monthly to the forum not only to answer questions but also provide thought provoking information for you to discuss amongst your peers. Once I get that sorted, I'll post up the location so stay tuned!

    Cheers!

Well done Dave with your efforts and plain talking advice

I listened in over your shoulder for a while (sneaky aye), and you were getting the basics accross to riders in a language that they understand and no doubt could apply to their riding.

Great to have another knowledgable suspension person in attenadance at the track

    Cheers
    Glen

    Thumbs up

Dave definitely knows his stuff and must have worked on just about every bike at track over the weekend. I didn't see him take a single break, he really does care about improving riders setup and knowledge, thanks Dave.

Was a bit of a learning curve having barely ridden my bike for the last 2 years but by the last session I was getting back into it. I can honestly say my bike has never felt so good after having Dave set her up. Spent the morning riding at 75% working on my lines and body position then turned up the wick and had a ball in the afternoon.

I was having a cracker of a last session until the very last lap. Got turn 5 nailed which meant I arrived at 7 with a lot of extra pace. Decided to run it straight on the brakes planning to tip in at the outside edge of the track. Sadly hit a small patch of oil and the front just chucked me on my ear. Was totally WTF until I traced my scratches back.

Didn't think I'd broken anything so drove back to Auckland.. Wasn't any better yesterday so went for x-rays and....

Many thanks to PMC for putting on a brilliant day and Dave for his setup advice. Got a load out of the seminar. Walking the track was priceless even for a slowpoke like myself. Can't wait to heal up, fix up the bike and get back out. Have well and truly got the trackday bug back now

I think the heat played havoc with some on Sunday.
