Hello there down under from up here in Holland (VaagVerhaal)

    Hello everyone,

I'm Mike currently live in the south of Holland and I'm considering/lookin into coming to NZ in the next few months to visit family in Auckland and also tour the country.

Will have plenty questions to come about all that, will post them in good time in the correct forum sections for that.

Since renting a bike for several months is kinda expensive I'm looking into buyin one instead.

Already browsed through the Online Trading section here and found http://www.motorcycletrader.co.nz/ as well as http://www.trademe.co.nz/.

Unfortunatly the fine ppl @ trademe have some crazy rule you can browse their website but not create an account to respond to items unless you're actually inside NZ (or AU) and so far my emails to them haven't resulted in a solution for that ok that problem just got solved

So my 1st questions is :

    1. is there anyone here with a trademe account willing to contact a sellers for me asking them to email me about their listing on trademe?

    1. are there any other websites I should be aware off to look for bikes for sale?

There has been a few visitors to NZ that have spoken to the larger dealers about a buy back option, with the trade ins they have (usually many bikes stored in wharehouses around the country)

Not sure how well that has been working for some but if the price is right it could be well worth it !

Though having family here you could leave the bike with them to sell after you leave i guess .
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

That might be an option but since selling it fast fortunatly isn't an issue for me I don't really think the price increase with buying at a dealer is worth it for me.

Or aren't dealer prices that much higher compared to private sellers like they are over here?

Plus if I like the bike I buy and NZ enough I might just leave the bike there waiting for me for the next visit and if the bike's great and NZ isn't I can also have it shipped home

Life would be so much easier if you addressed questions with a simple answer.

Thanks. Not yet, looking around at the moment.

Actually if there's anyone living on the (top of the) south island that is able and willing to check a bike out please send me a msg, found one that might be interesting but its a long trip from here if it turns out to be not worth buying.

If you are in Auckland, you should be able to find something a bit closer than the tip of the South Island!!
(Nice folks down there though, I will hasten to add)
