Another "Better work story" for our boys in blue.

One for ScumDog and Rastuscat to confirm and perhaps send into the police magazine:

One of my work collegues is a hot rod fanatic, and may already be known to SD. First name is Clayton, but I wont give any more information that may identify him. He loves american hot rods and has a fairly noisy early model V8 that he brings to work at times.

Last week he and another hot rod fanatic went down to Invercargill for a cruise and to see their daughters who both live down there. On the saturday night they went to pub and a few too many to drink. Clayton phoned his daughter to come and get them and drive them back to her place. Shortly after leaving the pub there was a siren behind them and flashing red and blues.

They stopped and the young constable came up to the right hand side of the car and signalled for Clayton to wind down his window, which he did. The cop asked Clyton to say his name and address into the breath tester, and of course Clayton complied with "My name is Clayton $$$$$$$$$ and I live at @@@@@@@ ".

The cop looked at the display and said "That's a fail." To which Clayton replied "Of course it is, I'm pissed. But don't you normally breath test the driver?"

At this point the constable noticed two things. One was that there was no steering wheel on the right hand side of the american car. The second thing was that the other cop still in the patrol car was pissing himself with laughter.

Oh. His daughter passed as she is a non drinker.
