Bike is back to wonderfull and I love it!, it's just a bit too hard on the wee 675 chasing the RSV4 Factorys and BMW 1000's in Bears, then there are the hotted up 999's and 1098's ect, and Bears in Canterbury is the fastest and most hotly contested Bears racing in NZ.

The Beamer would give me a foot in both camps on the same bike.

If I hadn't loaned my GSXR that weekend, Stroud would be current no 1- same set of circumstances now, I would say no, not cause it got crashed and trashed, I would say no because of the lack of gratitude by the pilot. The team owner (Red) was much appreciative though, although it did take him a couple of months too put things right.........

Am assuming you are coming down again for the Sth Island rounds 2013?

You're a smart man, much smarter than me: I just picked up a wee Duc (749R) so it's nice to know how far I'll be in the poo if I take it down there, haha.

Dunno 'bout SI rounds yet, a few things have to fall into place at work.......you on a rocketship isn't exactly filling me with joy either, was hard enough keeping you in sight on that bloody 675! Unless you are entering Superbike.....? (nudge nudge)

Lean on them and make it happen! Took the superbike out to Rua for the afternoon yesterday, first time on it since the endurance race in March - a day later and i'm still grinning!. I would like to have one more bash at National Clubbies on a bike that can match the other superbikes, not yet decided.

Could put you up in CHch if it helped.

749R is a geat bike! bring it to Sound of Thunder 2013, remits are going in to the SOT and CHch Bears to change the class rules to have F2 include 749,748,675,900ss(2valve air cooled), Bears is now stacked with genuine superbikes, especially at SOT, time to split out F1 as it currently stands.

You would love Sound of Thunder, a total EVENT!, that leaves the Nats for dead as a motorcycle occasion, do it Doug,do iiiiit!

If my remit makes it in, all the twins below 750, 4 valve or not will qual as an F2 bike.(so will 900 2 valvers)

Read up on the current class rules and put in a remit of your own, if enough people bother we may be able to prod the commitee, just as long as you turn up to vote on the day- if no one turns up to vote, the commitee will rubber stamp the status quo to save the bother.

You da man! Green bling to every KBer who turns up to push for your remit, lol.

Thanks heaps for the offer, and SOT was part of the motivation for the 749R, so many classes AND it's SOT eligible. Always heard rave reviews about SOT so it's on the bucket list, pity my roster has shat on any chance of making 2013.

Just to drag myself back on track, 300weatherby has hit the nail on the head: S1000RR = perfect bike for so much racing in NZ.

well if you can get them prices down to where TT was talking i'd stick my fat arse on one
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Well, I can tell you right now there is no way I can land them in country for the bottom price, however the middle one.................

I'm not reponsible for any broken parts due to overloading the manufacture's recommendations. And remember, for each 7 lbs shed, you get the equivalent of +1 hp.

I think that there is enough interest that I'll go ahead and start looking for a firmer price on them. I've been a little hetic at work this past week, and have to move flats and such this weekend, but after that I'll try and get onto some serious pricing. Stay tuned...........

A factor to consider: GST will apply if customs have a look at the box, sometimes you get away with it, but don't count on it.
