New Kiwi Biker from Texas (Texas Biker)

Hi all. My name is Brad and I moved here from Dallas 2 days before New Years and am loving it! My bike has finally arrived after a tour of the Caribbean and is now on Kiwi soil all legal as of today! I drive a Piaggio MP3 500 that is more like a scooter but bigger than some motorcycles. It is not a motorcycle but according to the mover, customs and Landata, it is also not a scooter. I guess call it what you want but it is NOT a cage! I hope to cover the whole country... eventually anyway! I am just happy it is finally here. I have been riding for many years ( since I was 10 off and on) and my Dad and Brother both ride Honda Goldwings. I hope to get them here one day for a nice tour of the Islands.

Welcome to KiwiBiker, the site where information, help, humour (humor to you) and generosity are redundant and stupid.
    You'll die, run away.

    Welcome to NZ Tex.

Your choice of Auckland as a place to live is a bit suspect for a start but one or two of the people up there are actually OK ... hope you find them!

    Enjoy your stay!

New Zealand was opportunity but Auckland was for business. The rest of New Zealand is where I will be heading!

My daughter is still there and it was 110 degrees recently, Fahrenheit not Celsius! Thanks for the welcome.

Hey Tex, welcome to KB. Try not to take things the natives say on here too seriously. It'll be tough with coming from where you do en all.

Did you bring yer gun belt?

I get asked that a lot! I do not really have an answer but I have had more fun on this thing than I have on a motorcycle. Fun on gravel, fun in the river bottoms, sticky when wet, great in the twisties, and on and on. I think this will be a great place to ride. Maybe I will grow up one day and get a real bike!

I didn't get to bring my gun belt but I did bring my longhorns! I guess I could mount them to my scoot. I should get noticed then!!
