My FZ8 was the same, the CB1300 was not, there was some gear in front (visually) on that bike, it's the shorter nekkid's that give the visual impression that you're standing a cliff...at speed

i rode one last week without the bug screen and would have to settle for .........noticeable difference

it felt like more wind pressure on the chest when 100km or more than my one

I don't go anymore than 100km anyways.

Bug screens are there for aesthetics only (oh and bugs

) I found the smallest Givi for my CB and it took the wind off my head area, but on the CB you don't sit in such a high position like you would on the Speed Triple.

I was surprised how much difference mine made. Dunno how they do it, doesn't look like it would do much at all, but the Triumph one works better than the bigger one my S4R had.
