All may not be lost fella.

pete376403 has a spare motor for an FZ750. I'm pretty sure he won't be needing anything other than the gearbox from it, as he's replacing a blown gearbox in an FZR1000 with the gearbox from a complete motor that he's acquired.

I reckon if the two of you get together you may just be able to do a deal that would make the both of you happy.

Failing that - if anyone wants to buy this bike then pete376403 may just be able to help you out with parts.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Riffers new job is actually matchmaker. First he hooked me up with the FZ750 motor, now hes arranging the unused bits to head South. How do I award bling, cos the guy deserves lots!
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

    No charge guys.

The satisfaction of knowing there's two more bikes on the road and happy people is more than enough.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

The FZR1000 with the FZ750 gearbox could be for sale. After rebuilding the motor and getting it all back together, it's been sitting in the lean-to behind my shed. Son has now decided he wants to sell it. (ungrateful bloody children!)
Will need (at least) new battery, tyres, brake hoses, discs and pads and re-vinning.

Plastics are mainly pretty good (for age) Started up the other day apparently without too much effort.

Wasn't enough for the Suzuki speedo drive and it probably isn't enough for the fizzer, either, but I'll forward your offer to the seller.

    (what flavour chips?)
