    Worst number plate ever?

What's the worst plate you've seen?

I had FGT599 on a car a couple of years back...not as bad as that one in the paper, but my brother kindly pointed out that is was short hand for FAGGOT...

A girl I went to school with in 7th form (over a decade ago now...) got a new car, i can't remember the numbers, but it was ANL###. Because a teenage girl isn't going to get a whole lot of stick over a plate that reads anal.... was pretty funny.

Weird plate on a neighbours' car some years back: 4YOICE.

My girlfriend at the time had all manner of weird ideas of what it meant...turns out the guy was an optometrist . Way lamer than our thoughts

The saddest personalised plates are the ones where the original has been taken and people have to resort to some l33t version but think that it's the original. Sad. Truly sad. But I guess that nongs and their $820 are easily parted.

I also disagree with the PP people allowing spaces to be inserted. But then poor old AJ, who has missed out several times over, would have to use a plate that says 11AJ1I, rather than 11 AJ 1I.

The purpose of license plates should be to provide clear and unambiguous identification of vehicles, not to indulge the egotistical whims of their owners.
