    Thumbs up Experienced (read almost old) people who still have a go

    Okay so who else is going to own up to being 50+ and still or just beginning to race and on what?

    One gent up here I know is just in the process of winding back at the age of 78/79 and a great grandfather....

    I'm 50 in March next year and l'm still out their Racing on my Honda 250 RR MC 22 in the Minilites class amongst all the younger 1's. Love every minute l am out there and am hoping to still be out there in many more years to come.

    ...at a youthful 55, I am nowhere near the age of some of the blokes I am racing with in our club...a few around 70,four are closer to 80, one who races a pre 89 is that age...still fast, skilled and young at heart, all of them...

    51, first time on a track last October, racing a 1973 BMW 900, with a 500 under construction.

    I will be back on my RD350LC at some stage in the future, my racing kid uses all the $ and time

    Bob Grover has missed racing two, yes two, Cemetery Circuits since 1962. once he had a broken leg the other time his bike was still returning from him racing at the isle of man.

    what a winner!! dont forget Bernie Johnston tho racing NZSBK on his R1 up till he was 62, only reason why he stopped was due to health problems but now flys planes instead!!

    Haven't retired yet at 57, least that's what I keep telling myself ... just waiting for the work thing to improve so I can actually buy stuff ... like food ..... and tyres.
    Definitly aiming to try and save enough moola to do the 30th SOT
    next Feb.
