Vote for Sam Croft foran AMP scholarship

    Hi All,

I am asking you all on behalf of Sam Croft,To vote for him and help him to acheive his goal of getting to the European Junior Cup in 2013,This is a REAL chance to get a very talented young Kiwi on the world stage,If you go to Croftracings facebook page or website the details are there,This is not about what MIGHT happen in the future,It is a reality we should all be backing,Racefairings.co.nz have already donated to this cause and will be increasing our backing in the future,Sam is an obvious talent who's profile needs too be raised and I know he will do us proud when he competes in the cup.

Ha, I was just coming here to do the same thing.
It is a great opportunity, but as with everything, there is plenty of competition.
The only downside is that you must have a Facebook acct to vote.
You can't do it through the AMP Scholarships website (doyourthing.co.nz) which I found very annoying and stupid considering that they had gone to all the trouble of setting up the website in the first place.
I wrote to them and said so, but they just fobbed me off saying that Facebook is the way of the future and everyone should use it!!

So, get on and vote for Sam and help get his ugly mug out of here!! ;-)
We have such a strong network in our sport via this site and the grapevine, that there is no reason why Sam can not rate really highly. If you don't have a Facebook acct use your missus' one or your kids one.

    Good luck mate.

Good on you Billy. And good luck to Sam.

Personally I'm a bit troubled by public voting for this scholarship. What can happen is the most popular young person with influential contacts can generate votes which have no bearing on ability.

I'd say Maple Goh looks the best pick.

Sam Croft - World Superbike Championships 2013

New Zealand 250 Prolite Champion Sam Croft is campaigning to get to the 2013 KTM European Junior Cup (EJC), a support class to the World Superbike Series. Sam has a place reserved for next year and just needs to come up with the rest of the funds to be able to compete.

Sam is going for a "peoples choice" scholarship and has the opportunity to win up to NZ $10,000 which he can put towards EJC next year. To win the money, Sam has to have the most votes. Voting takes place online on facebook.

Sam is a worthy recipient of this scholarship because Sam has never had any sponsorship or financial support from anyone and winning this money would make a huge difference in his campaign. If Sam won this money, he would be able to compete and reach his life long goal of racing the World Superbike Championship!

New Zealand has had a number of great motorcyclists which include and is not limited to:
Rod Coleman, Hugh Anderson, Shaun Harris, Bruce Anstey, John Britten, Burt Munro, Simon Crafar, Aaron Slight, Len Perry, Barry Briggs, Ronnie Moore, Ivan Mauger, Graeme Crosby, Andrew Srtoud, Robbie Bugden (just kidding haha...but hes still awesome!) Sam Croft can be the next added to this list, he just needs the opportunity to compete.

You can vote for Sam here:
    http://ampvoting.orcas.co.nz/Applica...ref=web_canvas

Please spread the word and ask all your family and friends to vote

We have a few other fundaraising activities we are finalising... details to be released soon

    Thanks
Andrew Croft (Sam's older brother and manager)
