New Zealand 250 Prolite Champion Sam Croft is campaigning to get to the 2013 KTM European Junior Cup (EJC), a support class to the World Superbike Series. Sam has a place reserved for next year and just needs to come up with the rest of the funds to be able to compete.
Sam is going for a "peoples choice" scholarship and has the opportunity to win up to NZ $10,000 which he can put towards EJC next year. To win the money, Sam has to have the most votes. Voting takes place online on facebook.
Sam is a worthy recipient of this scholarship because his achievements to date have been without direct financial support. We acknowledge the businesses and people who have supported Sam in his racing. Winning the scholarship money would make a huge difference in his campaign and mean he would be able to compete in the World Superbike Championship!
New Zealand has had a number of great motorcyclists which include and is not limited to:
Rod Coleman, Hugh Anderson, Shaun Harris, Bruce Anstey, John Britten, Burt Munro, Simon Crafar, Aaron Slight, Len Perry, Barry Briggs, Ronnie Moore, Ivan Mauger, Graeme Crosby, Andrew Stroud... Sam Croft can be the next added to this list, he just needs the opportunity to compete.
